I’ve been fortunate to have lived a life filled with diverse experiences that helped prepare me for my work as a volunteer mediator.
My work background includes roles such as, managing pharmaceutical virology and microbiology laboratories, serving as the Purchasing Manager for the City of Green Bay, and later, as the Director of Institutional Support for the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. After retiring, I became a licensed real estate agent for a few years and enjoyed negotiating deals between buyers and sellers. Currently, I am a part-time advocate for Family Services, answering the hotline in the evenings and on weekends, supporting victims of sexual assault.
In addition to my professional experience, I earned a B.S. degree in Business while working full-time. I also held the certifications of Certified Public Purchasing Officer (CPPO) and Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM). Furthermore, I served as the president of my state professional organization, the Wisconsin Association of Public Purchasers.
My personal experience with mediation came during my divorce, 25+ years ago. Our decision to hire a skilled mediator, instead of separate attorneys, was a game-changer in establishing a clear and mutually agreeable foundation for shared parenting in the years to come. It was this experience that most influenced my decision to volunteer as a mediator.
I look forward to continue helping others resolve their conflicts through mediation.
